What is Metagods?

Metagods is the world's first play-to-earn 8-bit Action NFT RPG built on the blockchain, where you play as a demigod like Achilles or Hercules, and embark on the Path of Ascension to becoming a true god, exploring vast dungeons and battling monsters and powerful deities.

Metagods is a player-owned economy where players can truly own, buy, sell, and trade utility-driven NFTs and in-game resources they earn in the game. Our platform offers the ultimate play-to-earn experience with a multitude of benefits and unique features:

Game Features

What are Dungeons?

The game world of MetaGods is made up of 35 Dungeons, and each Dungeon is governed by a Boss such as Zeus, Poseidon or Medusa. In Hardcore Mode, players can select any Dungeon to play in, and the objective is to defeat all the monsters and the Boss within the Dungeon.

Each Dungeon has a certain difficulty level. Higher-level Dungeons yield higher rewards. Players can either play solo or join/form Guilds and team up to play Dungeon missions together.

Note: The best way to beat higher-level Dungeons is to group up with your fellow Guild members and equip high-tiered Weapons!

What is NFT Permadeath?

Hardcore Mode has a unique feature called NFT Permadeath. If your selected character dies in the Dungeon, that character will be locked out indefinitely and cannot be used for a certain period of time.

By backing playable characters as NFTs and integrating permadeath mechanics secured by a distributed ledger, this creates NFT scarcity, ensuring that the rarest and highest-tiered character NFTs that you own are truly the strongest. Only a few will survive the most challenging Dungeons, and these will be the most valuable NFTs in the ecosystem.

Note: You can shorten the permadeath time by building a Hospital on your Land!

The Hardcore mode

• Users will be rewarded more in this game, but risk losing their character and certain items/equipment. Upon player death, certain loot will be transferred to the landowners. Players can venture deep into various territories of the Gods on their path to ascension.

The Casual mode

Players can stake their character NFTs in Dungeon missions to earn rewards passively. However, there is a built-in NFT Mission Staking Failure Rate, which means there is a small chance that the mission will fail.

If the mission fails, all $RELIC rewards that would be granted to the player are instead distributed amongst the LAND owners within that Dungeon. If the mission succeeds, the player will earn the $RELIC rewards, and LAND owners will also receive a small fee from the winnings.

Note: In Casual Mode, players will be able to spectate the game live while it is being autoplayed.

• Users acquire items without having to risk their NFT character. This risk-free mode is mainly used for scholars to farm for you while you enjoy a beer outside.

Game Lobby

The town of Ambrosia is the game lobby where you begin your Metagods journey with your NFT character.

The storyline begins after Medusa ransacked Ambrosia, looking for sweets. Many heroes tried to stop her, but none have returned from her dungeon, including Perseus.

You must stop Medusa's reign of terror and save the lost heroes. Help the people of Ambrosia.

Landmarks

Ambrosia is full of secrets and some can be very helpful to you. Try speaking with the town members for clues, and explore different buildings for utilities and upgrades.

In-Game NFTs

You will have to own a character NFT to play the game. These in-game characters are generative art NFTs that also function as your avatar and profile picture in the game.

After purchasing, your character is randomly assigned a rarity tier, and there are six tiers of rarity (Tier 1 to Tier 6). Higher-tier characters are stronger and more valuable, hence the chance of acquiring them is lower. Tier 6 characters are strongest and rarest.

All characters also have their own class, base stats and attributes, as well as equipment.

Character Class

Demigods specialized in different types of warfare, choose wisely!

There are currently three character classes available to play, and each one has a distinct playstyle:

1. Warrior - melee fighter with strong defensive abilities

2. Archer - long-ranged marksman with high mobility but low health

3. Mage - spellcaster with high area-of-effect damage output, can choose between Fire or Ice Mage

4. Necromancer - multi-skilled summoner who channels dark energies to summon the dead as pets to fight for you, but Necromancers do not have projectile attacks

Note: As an ARPG, Metagods is a skilled gameplay game that requires strategy and teamwork. Having a variety of classes specialized in particular roles can maximize the potential of your team and win Dungeon raids easier, earning more legendary loot and rewards!

In the future, more character classes will be introduced into the game such as clerics, assassins or berserkers.

What is a LAND?

A LAND is a digital piece of real-estate that makes up the entire game world of MetaGods.

The smallest unit of LAND is a 1x1 grid which is a part of a 10x10 Dungeon.

There are 35 Dungeons in the entire realm of Metagods, which means there are 3,500 plots of LAND in the ecosystem. Only 3,200 will be available for sale, and the remaining 300 will be reserved for internal game economy use, future community giveaways and other special events.

How to Purchase LAND?

As of now, there are 2 ways to purchase LAND:

1. LAND Ticket Sale on GameFi.org Marketplace

   1. Users can view the MetaGods Dungeon and available LANDs

   2. Selected LAND tickets will be listed at the GameFi.org marketplace. Users can purchase the ticket(s), go to the Dungeon Map in our DApp and claim the LAND(s). Price: 5 BNB per plot

   3. There will be a bundle bonus for limited buyers: Buy 10 plots to get 1 free plot from the Zeus Dungeon! The bundle deal above ensures fair distribution between competing guilds. We want everyone to have a chance to own part of Zeus Dungeon since it is the strongest Dungeon and boss.

2. Limited $MGOD Pool

   1. The DEVs are also releasing 10 plots of LANDs per day at their DApp, accepting $MGOD as payment at a discounted price of 3,000 $MGOD per plot.

   2. However, all LANDs purchased in $MGOD are randomly selected by their system whereas you can pick your own LAND in the BNB pool.

Staking

There are multiple staking platforms on the Metagods DApp, allowing users to earn $MGOD and other Metaverse tokens. $MGOD is the heart of the Metagods' ecosystem.

There are three staking platforms available: $MGOD Single Token Staking, MGOD-BUSD Liquidity Pool, and MGOD-WARS Cross Staking.
