Space Game

Intro:
The year is 2070 AD, humanity, still a type 1 civilization has advanced far enough to colonize nearby planets in the Milky Way. However, with the rapid rise of temperatures around the world, Earth is only a few years away from destruction. The discovery of a new element $ORES on Mars was found to be the solution to earth’s impending doom. Governments around the world assembled the best marines on a mission to Mars to mine $ORES. With the latest advanced spacecraft iteration, Agartha, it is designed to sustain human life on inhospitable planets for decades. Unknown to them, a vicious race of aliens have already established a base around Mars to extract $ORES. With $ORES being the only element capable of saving humanity, the marines reluctantly negotiated a deal with the aliens to give up a 20% of $ORES mined as tribute. In return, allowing them access to mine the element $ORES needed to prevent the annihilation of the human race. A small price to pay for salvation.
Context:
Recent popularity surge of P2E Games like Etherorcs & Wolf Game, Wizards & Dragons introduced gamification of NFT collectibles in a way that wasn’t conceived of before. Earlier iterations of Wolf Game forks had several exploit issues that were addressed by forks such as WnD, albeit not completely but it’s a decent start. However, like other L1 P2E games it faced the same predicament, high gas fees, exclusion of small players & risk of long-term sustainability which has drastically reduced the game’s overall capital efficiency & potential. Less capital flowing in-game (eg. players buying the game’s NFTs on secondary marketplaces & providing LP). And instead, more capital redirected to paying the network and miners.
Although most plan on solving that exact issue by implementing a bridge to utilize popular L2 scaling solutions like Polygon, it is often a laborious process sometimes taking several weeks. We know from first-hand experience working with the Polygon team setting up bridges in prior projects. Dealing with user technical issues (eg. stuck tx, bridge rpc, mapping issues) post bridge integration will divert the team’s resources to diagnosing and fixing aforementioned problems rather than expanding & developing the game.

We’ll be taking a completely opposite approach than other P2E projects, the launch will begin on Polygon (minting/game) and a bridge will be developed to allow users to bridge their NFTs back to L1 (via our native bridge “Stargate”) if they wish to do so in the future. This has numerous advantage over the common route most P2E projects are taking. (more explained below)
Introducing Founder Crates. For each mint, you’ll receive a Founder Crate. Each crate are entitled to 1 GEN-0 Marine/Alien on Polygon and future rewards (Cyber Marines/Aliens NFTs, etc) which will be airdropped to the same address used that’s used during minting. Refer to the image below for a clearer explanation.
Minting Process:

This approach it solves the following:
Eliminates any potential minting exploits (mempool spying & flashbots),
Inclusivity (allows smaller players to participate without worrying about the high gas fees on L1)
Maximizes Capital Efficiency (more funds can be spent in-game rather than wasting it on gas)
Zero disruption in gaming experience. (no bridging required to fully utilize L2 as the game will begin immediately on L2)
Additional utility for early supporters (multi-reward system + future exclusive rewards tied to founder crate holders.)
As we progress further down the epochs, our native bridge dubbed “Star-gate” on Polygon allowing users to bridge GEN-0 mints back to L1 if they wish to do so. This ensures from it’s inception (Epoch 1), players can have a seamless low-cost gaming experience without disruption. No need to worry about the high gas fees.
Ethereum will always remain as the dominant L1 chain and future iterations (ETH 2.0) could solve scaling issues which is why Space Game will utilize a hybrid approach, players whom wish to bridge their NFTs back to Layer 1 have the option to do so in the future via “Stargate” — unfortunately ETH is nowhere near solving the high gas fees & scaling issues, so in the meantime we have opted to use Polygon as our preferred chain but the option to bridge to ETH will be available for anyone in the future.
Why did we decide to launch the game on Polygon instead of Ethereum.
Firstly, most of the top P2E projects are either migrating or have migrated to Polygon (Etherorcs, Wolf Game, WND) — seems like a no-brainer to us. P2E games are the perfect use-case for L2 solutions like Polygon.
The second factor is it’s familiarity. Both Opensea & Uniswap are supported on Polygon. The last factor is Polygon’s unprecedented growth as a network. This month alone, it has sold over 1.8M NFTs on Opensea. A monthly figure that will keep growing, with >800K total users interacting with the platform. This suggests the blockchain is quickly becoming the go-to hub for NFTS & Space Game will be well situated to benefit the most from it’s rise.
MINTING
Minting Price for GEN-0 Marines & Aliens are set at 0.055Ξ
Cost for minting will be set at a much lower rate than other P2E projects. Inclusivity is something we want to foster in Space Game, this ensures a variety of players can participate in the whitelisting/public sale.
Minting date for GEN-0 NFTs will begin around Jan 2022. The exact date will be disclosed in the coming weeks. Whitelisted marines will be entitled to 3 mints each at 0.055Ξ for the first 24 hours. Unclaimed mints will be transferred over to the public mint. Public mint will go live 12 hours after the WL minting is over. Capped at 6 mints. The cost for public mint is set at 0.075Ξ
As a player, you’ll have a 90% chance of recruiting (minting) a marine and 10% chance of minting an alien.

Marines
[Recruitment (Minting)]: There’s a 90% chance of recruiting a marine.
[Mining (Staking)] : Each marine is able to mine 10,000 $ORES per day.
[Claiming]: Marines are forced to give 20% of $ORES to aliens in exchange for access to the $ORES supply.
[Unstaking]: Journey back to the colony is long & tedious, to make the trip worthwhile, marines are ordered to accumulate 2 days worth of $ORES before leaving their stations.
Risk: By leaving the mining site, there is a 50% risk of getting all your accrued $ORES stolen by the aliens.

Aliens
Having full control of the $ORES supply, aliens receive $ORES from Marines in the form tax and can steal mints from other players in the game.
There’s a 10% chance of minting an alien. However not all aliens are ranked the same in the colony. Aliens receive a rank ranging from 1–4. Higher the alien is ranked in the hierarchical structure, higher the proportion of $ORES and probability of stealing a GEN 1 mint. [High: 1 — Low: 4]
$ORES
Native to Mars, $ORES is abundant in certain craters. However as with all natural resources, there are only a max supply of 4,000,000,000 $ORES available on the planet. $ORES is the lifeblood of Space Game and functions as the primary in-game currency.

Once $ORES supply reaches 62.5% (2,500,000,000) for Epoch 1— staking faucet will be disabled. (2B allocated for Epoch 1 + 0.5B set aside for liquidity)
Staking faucet will resume for Epoch 2 at a reduced rate (1,000,000,000) but in return, players gain XP.
Epoch 1 & 2 are the main accumulation/inflationary phase for $ORES.
500,000,000 $ORES will be reserved for Multiverse/Development.
$ORES is designed to be deflationary as we transition to Epoch 3. Total supply will be capped at 4,000,000,000.
Minting a GEN 1 character will burn 90% of the cost and 10% will go to the developer treasury for maintenance.

$ORES Cost:
The rate will be proportional to the current $ORES minting cost for GEN-1 mints. The collector is business savvy and is only willing to sell his precious eggs based on current minting prices.
Water Alien Egg = 1X current $ORES mint price. (Eggs Available: 1300)
Fire Alien Egg = 2X current $ORES mint price. (Eggs Available: 670)
Soul Harvest: (Sacrifice)...In exchange for the soul of a marine or alien, the collector rewards you with his most prized possession in his collection said to be the rarest among all other types of alien eggs:
Poison Alien Egg = 3X current $ORES mint price. + MARINE (Eggs Available: 300)
Darkness Alien Egg = 4X current $ORES mint price. + ALIEN (Eggs Available: 55)
