Market Research
The explosive growth of cryptocurrencies in recent years has led to crypto
entering many different fields. From healthcare to sports, blockchain technology can be seen everywhere – and the gaming industry is no exception.
In 2021, the term NFT has been on everyone’s lips. NFTs, or Non-Fungible
Tokens, are unique, exclusive tokens that cannot be replicated. In Q3 of
2021, NFT sales surged to $10.7 billion. While the mainstream news tends to
focus on NFTs as works of art, often fetching unbelievably high prices at auction, in the world of crypto they have many uses. One of the most important of these is as gaming assets.
Play To Earn (P2E) games have been one of the biggest success stories in
crypto. Their appeal is broad, reaching beyond both traditional gamers and
traditional crypto investors. These games generally use a mixture of NFTs
and normal, or fungible, cryptocurrencies. Players invest in NFTs to start
playing, and therefore earning; the more powerful the NFT, the bigger the
potential profits.
The market leader, Axie Infinity, was launched in 2018. By August 2021, it
counted over 1.8 million daily players, and in November 2021, its market cap
reached $10 billion. Remarkably, Axie’s parent company, Sky Mavis, reports
that 50% of players are not previous cryptocurrency investors. Axie is not
an isolated case: gaming tokens like MANA, GALA, ALICE, and SAND have all seen explosive growth in 2021.

What brings players to these games? In many cases, it’s not the gameplay,
which tends to be extremely simplistic. However, these games can offer a
significant earning potential. Unlike most video games, they do not re-
quire sophisticated equipment to play; a mobile phone or basic computer
and internet connection is all that is needed. It comes as no surprise that
P2E games are most successful in developing countries. 40% of Axie’s daily
players are based in the Philippines, where playing the game can be more
lucrative than many traditional jobs. 6% come from Venezuela, a country
which has suffered from major financial instability and hyperinflation
in recent years.
In these countries, as well as Argentina, other Latin American nations,
Brazil, and Vietnam, P2E projects have become a disruptive presence. Young
adults – so-called “digital natives” for whom online gaming is as natural
as breathing – find themselves facing high unemployment rates and dim
prospects, and turn to P2E as a form of income.
The global Covid-19 pandemic has been good for the P2E industry. Job losses, rising unemployment, and lockdown measures mean that more people than ever have found that playing blockchain games offers a
lucrative source of income. In turn, this has led to an explosion in the number of P2E games on the market. But what leads some games to become successful, while others die quickly? Why do some gaming projects go from strength to strength, and why do others fail?

High barriers to entry
As a game grows in popularity, its base price rises. This can then lead to the game becoming prohibitively expensive for new players to enter. For example, to play Axie Infinity, a player needs a “team” consisting of three NFTs.
At the end of 2021, the cheapest NFTs available cost around $130 each. A
player would need approximately $400 just to get started. To make matters
worse, these NFTs are cheap for a reason: they are weak, and offer a poor
return on investment. The most expensive Axie NFTs have sold for over
$100,000.
In CrimeCash, players do not need to buy anything to start playing. Every
new player is given 1000 CCASH (the in-game currency) to get started. While
players can buy NFTs to become more powerful, there are other options
such as referrals or staking to even the playing field.
An unfair playing field
In Axie, as in many other P2E games, players who started in the game early
have an enormous advantage over newer players. They were able to buy powerful NFTs for very low prices, and new players have no real chance of
defeating them. Some games have sought to mitigate these advantages,
either by “scholarship” programs in which new players can join an older
player’s teams, or by using oracle systems to control prices. Nevertheless,
an imbalance of power often remains.
In CrimeCash, the game takes place in rounds. Every 30 days, the game is
reset, all in-game currency is burned, and players restart. This means
that new players can be competitive.

Poor development of the game theme and plot
In the traditional gaming industry, theme, atmosphere, and plot are hugely
important; however, many P2E games ignore these crucial factors. Many
games are copycats of successful projects: Q2 and Q3 of 2021 saw the launch
of Binamon, Binemon, Binamars, Polkamon, Zoon, Dragonary, and many more. All of these games had very similar themes and gameplay, featuring heroes or dragons battling against monsters (it is probably no coincidence that the highly successful Axie Infinity has a similar theme).
When so many games are almost identical, players rapidly lose interest. To
make an impact, any new game needs an engaging theme that will help it
stand out in a very crowded market.
CrimeCash offers a unique, fun theme based on gangsters and the criminal
underworld – a setting that has proved extremely popular in traditional
video games, but remains underrepresented in the P2E world. Everything
within the game has been carefully styled on thematic lines.
Poor rewards
P2E games cost money to play; if players are spending their money, either
on NFTs or tickets, they expect a good chance to make a profit. Two notable
cases are DungeonSwap (Q2 2021) and SquidMoon (Q4 2021). Both of these
tokens had remarkable growth in the weeks leading up to their game
launch, with player attracted by hype and potential. In both cases, the
games failed, as the cost of playing was far greater than the rewards on
offer. The price of DungeonSwap dropped from $18 to $1.70 when the game
launched, while SquidMoon dipped from $6.20 to under $1.
Players will not continue with a P2E game that causes them to lose money.
CrimeCash allows players to join the game without making any initial investment. In addition, there are ways to develop power and status without
spending money. The rewards available for winners are given in a deflationary currency, to maximize profits.
Complex game mechanics
The most successful games of all time are the simplest: anyone can learn
to play Tetris in less than two minutes. In the P2E world, some games are
extremely complex. A new Binamon player, for example, might easily find
themselves overwhelmed by a confusing system which features three different cryptocurrencies and several categories of NFT.
A good P2E game should be easy to learn, quick to start playing, and have a
clear objective. Without these, it will easily fail.
CrimeCash offers a unique, fun theme based on gangsters and the criminal
underworld – a setting that has proved extremely popular in traditional
video games, but remains underrepresented in the P2E world. Everything
within the game has been carefully styled on thematic lines.
CrimeCash takes into account all the complexities of the industry and attempts to provide a fair playing field to all gamers. This vision will allow
each player to plunge into the atmosphere of our game, with ease and earn money.

Gameplay
The objective of the game is to reach the top of the leaderboard before the
end of the round. Each CrimeCash round lasts 30 days. At the end of the
round, scores are erased, in-game currency is burned, prizes are distributed,
and the game starts again.
Playing the game
There are three ways to climb to the top of the criminal underworld:
MONEY: Accumulate the most
CCASH POWER: Have the highest power score (attack and defense)
CONNECTIONS: Create a team of gangsters by inviting new players
With multiple routes to the top, CrimeCash lets players choose their own winning strategy.
Money
All players start the game with 1000 CCASH. There are several ways to earn more CCASH:
+ Robbery
Players can attack other players to steal their CCASH. In order for a robbery to be successful, two conditions must be met. First, the attacker must have a higher Attack score than the victim’s Defense score. Secondly, the victim must have CCASH in their balance (not at the bank, or in an LP pool). If both of these conditions are true, the attacker will steal 10-50% of the victim’s CCASH. The percentage is decided randomly.
+ Form a gang
Every player has a personal referral link. They will receive 1000 CCASH and 500 Attack power for every friend who joins the game. If a player has more than 2 referrals they will be entitled to a 200% farming bonus
CRIME vs CCASH
Two currencies are used to play the game, CrimeGold (CRIME) and CrimeCash (CCASH).

CRIME
CRIME is the more valuable of the two. It can be bought and sold on exchanges. There is a 25% tax on each sell transaction. This 25% will be
burned, making CRIME a deflationary asset.
It is possible to play CrimeCash without buying any CRIME. However, it can
be used in the game to gain advantages. Players can use CRIME to mint
powerful NFTs and purchase special perks to help reach the top. At the end of each round, 1000 CRIME will be minted. 950 CRIME will be distributed among the winners of the round, while the remaining 50 will go to the developers.
CCASH
CCASH is the in-game currency. Unlike CRIME, it is not intended to be
traded on exchanges. It is an inflationary currency. Every new player
will receive 1000 CCASH when they join the game. The value of CCASH is expected to drop as the round progresses, so trading is not recommended.
Holding a high amount of CCASH is one of the ways to win the game. There
are also numerous in-game uses for CCASH. It can be spent on weapons and
other assets, or it can be staked to earn rewards.
At the end of each round, all in-game CCASH will be burned. At the start
of the next round, players will again receive 1000 CCASH to get started.
There is a 3% tax on each transaction for CCASH. This 3% is to prevent bots
and will be added to liquidity. 10% of in-game CCASH spending will be
used to sell against the pool and the money will be used to buy back
CRIME and burn.

Conclusion
CrimeCash represents months of preparation, research and development.
Through careful market analysis and painstaking beta testing, the team has created a game designed to stand out in a crowded marketplace.
Innovative tokenomics and a unique system of monthly rounds mean that CrimeCash is built to last. Unlike many P2E games, CrimeCash has been planned with longevity in mind; new players can join the game at any time without finding themselves at a disadvantage.
Of course, the CrimeCash story is just beginning. As the project launches, CrimeCash is a fully realized, ready-to-play game. However, there is always room to grow and adapt. While the CrimeCash project might change over time, its heart will remain the same: an innovative blockchain game that offers players the chance to make a profit and have fun.
